USAID quality healthcare reaches remote peru

Peru has long faced a disparity in the quality of healthcare services provided by well-equipped urban clinics versus those in more rural areas. Healthcare worker Senaida MariƱas is responsible for the health post in Flor de Primavera, a remote community in the hills of Peru’s San Martin region. Her dedication to her community, together with a performance improvement methodology developed by USAID’s Quality Healthcare Program, has made Flor de Primavera a shining example of how quality service can lead to both increased demand for healthcare and better health outcomes.
